Violent pride: do people turn violent because of self-hate, or self-love?
Article Abstract:
An analysis is made of the self esteem in violent criminals. Long-held assumptions that low self-esteem leads to violent behavior are not supported in research or empirical evidence. The opposite, high self-esteem, appears to be a stronger factor in suggesting violence.

Issues concerning the construction of a low power FM radio transmission service commissioned by the Federal Communications Commission in the United States in 2000 are discussed. Particular attention is given to plans of expansion of the scheme.

Environmental change and violent conflict: growing scarcities of renewable resources can contribute to social instability and civil strife
Article Abstract:
The depletion of renewable resources before 2043 could increasingly precipitate civil or international conflicts, particularly in poor countries. Several countries were examined in depth by 30 researchers. Their findings are discussed.
