The effectiveness of utility companies' customer energy programs are difficult to measure. Identifying cost-effective measures to recommend to users is not simple. Alternate factors to stress might include credit incentives and special treatment for different types of users.

Escherichia coli bacteria cell chemoreceptors determine their direction by smelling, in a manner, their targets. Researchers used electron microscopy to determine that receptors were usually located in clusters and acted cooperatively.
