Will plants profit from high CO2?
Article Abstract:
Several experiments aim to find out how the earth's growing concentration of atmospheric CO2 will effect natural ecosystems. Increased CO2 is known to increase output of some crops, but its effect on interacting natural communities is unknown. Absorption by plants may mitigate global warming.

The US Army Corps of Engineers and the state of Florida plan to restore the entire Florida Everglades ecosystem, which has been dying in response to decades of pollution, drainage and altered water flow. The $2-billion plan aims to rebuild a system of natural wetlands.
