The successful implementation of geriatrics into an undergraduate medical curriculum, at the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry is discussed. A ten-step approach that may serve as a model for other universities is illustrated in detail.

A study on providing geriatrics, primary care, and palliative care by medical students to patients through visiting patient's home is presented. The results indicate that eighty-three percent of the students reported positive feedback about the experience.
