Aging and the detection of contingency in casual learning
Article Abstract:
An evaluation of young and older participant's ability to detect negative, random, and positive response-outcome contingencies, is presented using contingency estimation and response rate adaptation tasks. Older adults have a learning deficit, which affects the detection of contingencies between external events and the detection of contingencies involving their own behavior.

Sequencing, speech production, and selective effects of aging on phonological and morphological speech errors
Article Abstract:
The young and older adults performed a task in a view to test age-linked predictions of node structure theory (NST) and other theories. An age-linked increase in word errors was seen in NST, since the preformed connections for producing familiar words were strong in older adults.
