Can we afford comprehensive, supportive care for the very old?
Article Abstract:
By reducing hospitalization rates for discretionary medical admissions of people aged 80 and older the per capita savings could be reallocated to purchase other services without increasing their mortality rate. Heath care officials and patients could determine acceptable services and it was noted that managed care organizations might be tempted to keep down services in exchange for corporate profit.

Three case studies indicate that a strategy for securing dreams does work. the strategy involves calculating the finances needed to fulfill the dream, finding out the value of present assets, listing probable expenses and savings and figuring out wether the dream is worth the trouble.
