Comparison of fracture, cardiovascular event, and breast cancer rates at 3 years in postmenopausal women with osteoporosis
Article Abstract:
A study was conducted to compare event rates for osteoporotic fractures, cardiovascular events, and breast cancer in postmenopausal women with osteoporosis. The data on the relative incidence of clinically significant skeletal and extra-skeletal outcomes could be used in choosing an agent for health maintenance for postmenopausal women with osteoporosis.

Offspring of centenarians have a favorable lipid profile
Article Abstract:
This article compares the lipid profiles of the offspring of Ashkenazi Jewish centenarians and healthy control subjects. Findings indicate that the children of centenarians have more favorable lipid profiles than controls and that lipids may significantly influence longevity.

Results show that the risk of death due to cardiovascular disease, cancer, and other diseases is same for both men and women throughout the range of moderate to severe overweight.
