The factor that may influence the decision of choosing a hospice program or a traditional hospital approach in patients with advanced cancer is identified. It was found that the decision-making process for hospice care in patients with advanced cancer is multidimensional and the healthcare community may better meet the end-of-life care needs of such patients through advanced communication, accurate prognoses and better understanding towards them.
