Kathleen Goddard Jones has preserved the pristine condition of the Nipomo Dunes in southern California. The 85-year-old lady has prevented the construction of a nuclear power plant and condominiums in the area. She has been an environmental advocate since 1962 when she formed a local Sierra Club chapter.
