Financing care for Medicaid and the uninsured

Article Abstract:

The health care system of the United States has a major problem of financing various Medicaid and uninsured people, thus affecting the expansion of Medicaid adversely. The government should have a more flexible approach towards deciding the benefit packages, premiums and cost sharing arrangements for low-income individuals to satisfy all their health needs.

Consumer choice and employer-sponsored health insurance

Article Abstract:

The employer-sponsored health insurance can be changed and altered according to the benefits provided to the employees, which creates tensions between the employers and the employees while providing health insurance. The system is biased, allowing no consumer choice, and hence should be revised to provide better health benefits to employees.

Consumer choice on drugs: Medicare and medications

Article Abstract:

The prescription drug benefits of Medicare makes the choice of prescription drugs and medications quite difficult and confusing for a consumer in the current health care delivery system. Hence, doubts arise about the efficacy of drug plans like Medicare Part D that enable several consumer choices.
