Regular or 'super-aspirins'? A review of thienopyridines or aspirin to prevent stroke
Article Abstract:
This article compares the safety and efficacy of thienopyridines and aspirin when used to prevent strokes in high-risk geriatric patients. Findings indicate that thienopyridines are modestly more effective than aspirin in preventing vascular events but are significantly more expensive.

The sin of omission: a systematic review of antithrombotic therapy to prevent stroke in atrial fibrillation
Article Abstract:
This article evaluates the safety and efficacy of using antithrombotic agents to prevent stroke in older patients with atrial fibrillation. Findings indicate that antithrombotic agents, like aspirin and warfarin, are both safe and effective in reducing the risk of stroke in geriatric patients diagnosed with atrial fibrillation.

The possibility of multidisciplinary intercession spearheaded by druggist, getting the most out of antithrombotic use in older atrial fibrillation patients, is examined. The efficacy and feasibility of this approach is firmly established.
