Potentially inappropriate prescribing in Ontario community-dwelling older adults and nursing home residents
Article Abstract:
The patterns of potentially inappropriate drug therapy prescribing in community-dwelling older adults and nursing home residents in Ontario, Canada are compared using administrative databases. Nearly 3.3 percent of the community-dwelling older adults were likely to be dispensed with drug therapy in the always or rarely appropriate category in comparison to 2.3 percent of nursing home residents.

The value of positron emission tomography in the clinical evaluation of dementia
Article Abstract:
The value of positron emission tomography (PET) as it relates to the clinical evaluation of dementia or Alzheimer's disease is discussed in this review article. Little evidence has been found to support adding PET to the routine clinical evaluation of patients with dementia or suspected dementia.
