Ed Sopneski, a truck driver from the Connecticut River basin, helps save ospreys from local extinction. Eggshell thinning caused by the pesticide DDT has made ospreys prone to predation. With 'predator-proof' osprey nests designed by Sopneski, ospreys in the area are making a recovery.
