Article Abstract:
Developing countries need to force partnerships between in-house research and development centers of leading innovative firms and national institutes to achieve industrial technological expertise. One country of particular focus is India, which currently lacks an extensive industrial policy conducive to the development of its industrial sector. Optimal scale for research and development in foreign environments - an investigation into size and performance of research and development laboratories abroad
Article Abstract:
An analysis of the relationship between size and performance of research and development laboratories in foreign countries reveals that there is a concave relationship between size and performance. The study reveals that too big a laboratory may hamper researcher communication and raise per capita consumption on researchers while too small a laboratory may have less effectiveness than a larger one.
