Applications
Article Abstract:
The macrodynamics of international migration is modelled using a differential equation to represent the factors which drive the phenomena. This model is largely based on the exchange of information between migrants at the point of destination and potential emigrants at the country of origin. Migratory flow is determined by legal, economic, political and social conditions existing in either country. The capability of the model in determining migratory flow is demonstrated using the Greek emigration to the US since 1820 and out-migration from Cyprus since it gained statehood in 1946.

Theory and applications of the Delphi technique: a bibliography (1975-1994)
Article Abstract:
A bibliographic study of the literature on the applications and theory of the Delphi technique from 1975-1994 is presented. The popular, long-range, qualitative technique has evolved to accommodate different forecasting requirements since it was developed by the Rand Corp. during the early 1950s. The study features 463 papers, 254 of which focus mainly on Delphi and the remaining 209 treat the technique as a secondary topic.

Requirement of dimensional consistency in model equations: diffusion models incorporating price and their applications
Article Abstract:
The importance of requiring dimensional consistency in writing model equations is emphasized by citing the difficulties that arise due to inconsistency through the applicationof diffusion models integrating price to data on some products. Four dimensionally consistent model prescriptions that incorporate the effect of price are developed and applied for projecting the demand for color television in India.
