Decoupling task and relationship conflict: the role of intragroup emotional processing

Article Abstract:

Intragoup conflict has the potential to affect the group member's productivity. To prevent intragroup conflict it is necessary to detach conflict from relationship conflict. The efficacy of combined emotional intelligence of the group, intragroup relational ties and standard behavioral rules that control detrimental emotionality of the group members to detach conflict from relationship conflict has been examined.

Article Abstract:

The results of a study conducted to assess the effectiveness of globally distributed teams within a global corporation and also an analysis as to whether the sharing of knowledge leads to an improvement in performance. For the purpose of study, globally distributed team is presumed to be interdependent work group from diverse backgrounds working towards the organizations global objectives.
