Gender, domestic violence and sickness in Mexico
Article Abstract:
A study has been conducted to assess the effects of domestic violence experienced by Mexican women and its relative connection with women's health. Physical coercion is rooted in gender and marital relations nurtured in Mexican women's dependence on their spouses for subsistence and self-esteem. Result indicates that women's social interaction, especially their husbands' physical mistreatment, denied them of their dignity and affected them at the core of their beings, leading to 'life's lesions' that is often manifested symptomatologically.

Violence and well-being
Article Abstract:
Four documentary researches have been conducted to trace the roots, causes and implications of violence on the social, psychological, and emotional well-being of a person. Results indicate that violence is embedded in, and can only be understood in accordance with the moral foundation of a society. The study of violence goes beyond the theories of individual behavior. It encompass careful analysis of violence's social and cultural dimensions to be able to develop an understanding and forestall the proliferation of violence.

Friends, neighbors, enemies, strangers: aggressor and victim in civilian ethnic riots
Article Abstract:
The complicated and multi-faceted problem of ethnic conflict and collective violence was analyzed. The categories used in the analyses are the anthropology of collective violence, the anthropology of displaced persons, and the anthropology of coping patterns of victims and survivors. The conclusion was that the conflict is between bounded collectivities that aim to accrue benefits to their respective communities and groups and perceive each other with generalized characteristics.
