Graduate recruitment in Britain: a survey of selection methods used by organizations
Article Abstract:
A 1990 poll of graduate selection methods by 536 UK organizations reveals that application forms were the most popular means of pre-selecting applications. The survey evaluated the utilization frequency of application forms, references, interviews, assessment centers and personnel training. The results showed that organizations which used assessment centers based their final recruitment decisions on interviews with the applicants.
