Intercultural interaction: a burden on international managers?
Article Abstract:
The dynamics of intercultural interaction are examined with respect to the length of time spent by a European manager in a foreign country and the location of the foreign assignment. Results show that intercultural interaction increases with the length of time spent by a manager in a foreign country. They also show that intercultural interaction is greater when the manager is assigned to North America or Asia, as compared to when the assignment is to another European country.
