Article Abstract:
Sexuality education is a process of acquiring information and forming attitudes. Parents should be the main sexuality educators of their children, and school based sexuality education promotes adult sexual health. The approach to sexuality education varies from state to state, but thee are six key concept areas, identified by the National Guidelines Task Force, that should be part of any comprehensive sexuality education program, personal skills, sexual behavior, sexual health, human development, relationships and society and culture.

"Abstinence-only" curricula without the fear
Article Abstract:
Some sexuality education programs which focus exclusively on the abstinence-only approach but do not rely on fear and other scare tactics were presented. These curricula were found to be more effective when taught within the context of broader and more comprehensive programs. Fearless abstinence-only curricula helps increase positive communication about sexual information and helps young people identify pressures that may lead to sexual involvement.
