Measuring the effects of mixed land uses on housing values
Article Abstract:
Mixing land uses is one of the chief planning principles of the Smart Growth program. Geographic Information System (GIS) data from Portland, Oregon is used to examine the practice of mixing land uses in neighborhoods and its influence on the price of single-family housing. The results concluded that housing prices dropped with nearness to multi-family houses.

An empirical investigation of the effects of impact fees on housing and land markets
Article Abstract:
The influence of impact fees on the prices of the latest and subsisting single-family houses and land markets is examined. The results of the study that utilized exclusive time-series information for Dade County, Florida are presented. The study concludes that the influences of the impact fees are coherent with the new view theory of impact fee incidence.
