Multimethod measurement of high-risk drinking locations: extending the portal survey method with follow-up telephone interviews
Article Abstract:
An interview with young adult women (aged 18 to 25) is conducted as they cross to and from the border of the Mexico and the U.S., and after which, a follow-up procedure is done. Data from the follow-up telephone interviews showed that 8% of women had negative events happened to them returning to the U.S. after a night of binge drinking.

Passive versus active parental permission in school-based survey research
Article Abstract:
Investigation is done on whether the type of parental permission affects prevalence estimates for risk behaviors from the national 2001 Youth Risk Behavior Survey. Thirteen thousand one hundred and ninety five students participated from 143 schools, of which 65 percent used passive permission and 35 percent used active permission.
