On the RITE track: technological responses to climate change

Article Abstract:

The Research Institute of Innovative Technology for the Earth (RITE) was launched in Nov. 1994. The research entity is located in the Kansai region of Japan and is tasked with the discovery and development of new industrial technologies that could provide a solution to international environmental problems. Examples of RITE's activities are research on carbon dioxide utilization and development of highly efficient catalytic techniques.

Climate implications of greenhouse gas emissions scenarios

Article Abstract:

Research constructing four scenarios for greenhouse gas emissions is presented, with particular focus on implications on temperature and sea levels at global levels relative to the year 2100. It is concluded that temperature changes are likely to occur.

Greenhouse gas emissions scenarios

Article Abstract:

Research describing summaries of forty scenarios of gas emissions is presented. Particular attention is given to data considered in the summaries, including existent assumptions regarding the driving forces for future emissions.
