Article Abstract:

The writing of the renowned author Pierre Bourdieu who has published many books and articles with reference to philosophical issues regarding the nature and status of social scientific explanation is discussed. In Bourdieu's work, anthropological, sociological or cultural analyses were inseparable from his analyses of institutional or social contexts.

Baudrillard's lucidity pact

Article Abstract:

The work of Baudrillard especially "For a Critique of the Political Economy of the Sign" wherein he developed a theory of the consumer society that evolves due to socio-cultural shifts is discussed. Baudrillard's writings were very conservative and more radical than the writings of any other cultural critic.

The concept of 'Leben' explains the structuring and dynamic thrust in Simmel's interpretations of the unity and differentiations between Kant and Goethe in his 'Kant und Goethe'.
