Taiwanese IT firms' offshore R&D in China and the connection with the global innovation network
Article Abstract:
A study of a theoretical framework based on Dunning's eclectic paradigm and empirical data to present the cross-strait R&D internationalization of Taiwan as well as its connections with the global production network is discussed. The trend of Taiwanese IT firms giving R&D mandates to their subsidiaries in China and patterns of cross-strait R&D portfolios are described.
