Technology policy for industrialization: an integrative framework and Korea's experience
Article Abstract:
A study was conducted to analyze the technology policy of Korea. Threepolicy viewpoints were evaluated, namely the market mechanism, the technology diffusion perspective and the dynamic perspective which composed thesuccessful Korean strategy and technolgy policy for industrialization. This success was attributed to a maintained balance between the demand and supply sides of technology and the links between the demand and supply segments. An informal approach toward technology transfer, efficient policy instruments and solid investments in human resource were also cited.

The university-industry-government relations in Latin America
Article Abstract:
Issues concerning the relationship between government, industry and universities are discussed, with particular reference to Latin American countries. Weaknesses in the university-industry relationship are identified and suggestions for improvement put forward.
