The Millenium Project: 1997 state of the future - implications for actions today

Article Abstract:

The Millenium Project is a research organization created to examine and evaluate various issues on the military, political or social awareness and come up with effective solutions based on experts' responses. The study was undertaken by the American Council for the United Nations University in cooperation with the Smithsonian Institute and other institutions. Based on the responses of the people questioned, global issues such as increasing world population, food and water scarcity, threat of emerging diseases, changing role of women, and governments' roles were addressed.

Governance and conflict developments collected in Round 1 of the Millenium Project 1996 look-out study

Article Abstract:

A description of the American Council's Millennium project's first year operation for the United States University is discussed. The project uses advanced telecommunications and software and other conventional means. One of the three major activities of the project to be accomplished in four rounds, called the 1996 Global Look-Out Study, is also discussed. Results of the round 1 and round 2 of the study are given.

Future S&T management policy issues-2025 global scenarios

Article Abstract:

A forecast for management of science and technology problems until year 2025 is presented. The importance of science ethics is also analyzed in a scenario where technology is used for war, terrorism and other criminal activities.
