Trade-mediated biotechnology transfer and its effective absorption: an application to the U.S. forestry sector
Article Abstract:
A study was conducted on regional disparities in capturing transmitted productivity gains by stimulating a 0.63 percent TFP improvement in the U.S. in the logging sector. It was found that depending on the absorptive capacity and structural similarity, the technological progress could have different impacts on productivity improvements of trading.
