Article Abstract:
A photograph by Dominique Gonzalez-Forester shows a public space at Chandigarh, in northern India. A market occurs there every morning, but in the afternoons, the space is empty and abandoned, and this has caused an ongoing debate about whether the area is an architectural success or a failure.
