Research is presented on the psychological implications of impending fatherhood, conducted on fathers-to-be in the United Kingdom. Discussion focuses on men's perceptions of the pregnant female body. Topics include self identity, otherness, privileged knowledge, and containment.

The body and doing gender: the relations between doctors and nurses in hospital work

The article examines work interrelations between Sweden's physicians and nurses, and how the gender of the physician influences the interrelationship dynamic. The impact of historical conceptualizations of femininity and masculinity is discussed.

Empty ethics: the problem with informed consent
