Effect of counselor and client education in nicotine addiction on smoking in substance abusers

Article Abstract:

The effect of counseling and client education in nicotine addiction on clients' treatment readiness for smoking cessation, has been analyzed, using the Fagerstrom Test for Nicotine Dependence and Stages of Change Ladders. Results suggest that counseling and client education made signifiant changes to clients' thoughts toward smoking cessation and smoking behavior.
