Effect of current tobacco use and history of an alcohol problem on health status in hospitalized patients

Research is presented concerning the relationship existing between the present use of tobacco and a history of alcohol abuse in the health status of 589 male and female hospitalized individuals.

Development and preliminary evaluation of a measure of support provided to a smoker among young adults

Article Abstract:

Selected psychometric properties of the Support Provided Measure (SPM), is used to find association between social support and smoking cessation. A self-report questionnaire is designed to assess supportive behavior provided to a smoker.
