Executive function and personality in adolescent and adult offenders vs. non-offenders

Article Abstract:

The article provides an analysis of psychometric tests given to young offenders, adult offenders, and non-offenders. The authors conclude dramatic differences were found among offenders and non-offenders, with offenders demonstrating lower executive capacity and maladaptive personality features, as well as a lack of social competency, judgement, and foresight.

Identifying violent-toward-staff juvenile delinquents via the Millon Adolescent Clinical Inventory and neuropsychological measures

Issues discussed concern the use of psychological tests such as the Millon Adolescent Personality Inventory to evaluate the risk for violent behavior in juvenile delinquents. Utility of the Keirsey Temperament Sorter for problem identification and treatment planning in correctional institutions

Article Abstract:

The effectiveness of the Keirsey Temperament Sorter given to juvenile offenders is evaluated. The author argues the personality test is inexpensive and easy to administer and provides possible areas for treatment interventions.
