Hypothesis generation in groups constrained by evidence
Article Abstract:
An experimental study of group hypothesis generation with respect to a task of rule induction reveals the better performance of groups with face-to-face interaction than the performance of noninteracting and solo individual groups. The face-to-face groups generated a more sensitive and plausible hypotheses, though the quality of plausible hypothesis is greater in the case of noninteracting groups. These findings imply the influence of interaction among individuals and an exchange of hypotheses on hypothesis generation in groups.

Individual and group decisions in the centipede game: are groups more "rational" players?
Article Abstract:
Increasing-sum and constant-sum Centipede games are used to compose individual and group behavior and in both cases, it is found that groups terminate the game significantly earlier than individuals. Groups are found to be more 'rational' than individuals and more likely to assume common knowledge of 'rationality' and are less pro-social and less prone to errors.

Article Abstract:
A hypothesis that whereas members of a low status group show a physiological threat response when evaluating a performance situation on the basis of the status quo, members of high status groups show a physiological threat response when evaluating a possible change of the status quo was tested.
