Article Abstract:
The publication of Gina Kolata's article in 'The New York Times' about the successful experiments of Judah Folkman on two cancer cures has been criticized by scientists as misleading. Research on anti-angiotensins is not new and the quote from James Watson that a cancer cure from Folkman would be available in two years was refuted by Watson himself. The puzzling thing is that the article was given prominence as a front-page story on a Sunday, ignoring the fact that it contained many caveats. 'Times' spokesperson Nancy Nielsen's justification for running it was Kolata's optimism.

Article Abstract:
A school-based model for early detection and intervention among 4-12-year-old children who displayed externalizing behavior problems was developed and examined. The results were encouraging and demonstrated that it is possible to work effectively with many children who display externalizing behavior problems in a nonclinical setting.
