Organizational innovation: a comparison of nonprofit human-service organizations in Lithuania and the United States

Article Abstract:

The correlates of innovativeness in nonprofit human-service organizations of Lithuania and the US are examined. The study assesses the relationships between innovativeness, organizational culture and leadership in 40 organizations and results are discussed along with implications for social work practice.

Crime prevention through environmental design

Article Abstract:

Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design, also known as CPTED is an effective way to reduce crime in public housing. Landscape design, improved lighting, more secure fencing are just some of the ways environmental design can reduce criminal activity.

Article Abstract:

Information regarding the Public Housing Drug Elimination Program is given. The program funds after school programs which supervise children from 3 to 7 p.m. when statistically most unsupervised activity by children occurs.
