Article Abstract:
Experts at the DOE's National Renewable Energy Laboratory predict the cost of producing the electricity with photovoltaic cells will drop 60 percent to a competitive 7.2 percent per kilowatt-hour by 2025. The counterparts at the Energy Information Administration predict the price tag would linger at a costly 16 cents per kilowatt-hour.
