Stereotype directionality and attractiveness stereotyping: Is beauty good or is ugly bad?
Article Abstract:
Two studies were conducted to investigate the direction of attractiveness stereotyping by comparing judgments of positive and negative attributes for medium versus low and medium versus high attractive faces. Results from both experiments suggest that most often, unattractiveness is a disadvantage, consistent with negativity bias but opposite to the maxim beauty is good.

Spontaneous stereotyping: a matter of prejudice?
Article Abstract:
A new methodology was employed to explore whether both high and low prejudiced Whites (Ws) spontaneously stereotype African Americans (AAs). The results reveal that both high and low prejudiced whites were more likely to report erroneously when the stereotypic behavior has been displayed beside an AA rather than a W photo.
