The dimensions of human rights: a confirmatory factor analysis of human rights provisions

Article Abstract:

The two political ideologies, liberal conceptions of civil and political rights and socialist ideas about economic justice and equality, are used in the discussions of human rights. The confirmatory factor analysis of twenty human rights measures are used to identify the cross-national patterns of human rights provision.

Social and economic justice, human rights and peace: the challenge for social work in Canada and the USA

The concepts of social and economic justice, human rights and peace in Canada and the U.S. are presented. The dilemmas and challenges faced by the social workers as they fulfill the human needs and address human rights during stressful times of urbanization and industrialization is also discussed.

Sites of aggressor-victim memory: The Rwandan genocide, theory and practice

Article Abstract:

The elements of aggressor-victim memory through a detailed analysis of the 1994 Rwandan genocide are described. It is felt that people can kill by remembering earlier aggression due to the persistence of post-traumatic culture and the failure of dialogue.
