The effect of cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) on depression: The role of problem-solving appraisal

Article Abstract:

A study was conducted to explore the mechanism of cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) from the perspective of individual's problem solving appraisal. Results supported the hypothesis that the more individuals improved their problem-solving appraisal, the more their depression decreased and CBT seemed to have a ceiling effect on improving individualEs problem solving appraisal.

A systematic review of depression treatments in primary care for Latino adults

Article Abstract:

A systematic review of randomized clinical trials (RCTs) to assess the depression treatments among Latino adults was done and the resulting evidence supported the use of evidence based treatments in primary care as an effective and cost-effective strategy to reduce the inequities Latino patients face in the accessibility and quality of depression care.
