The moderating effect of trigger intensity on triggered displaced aggression

Article Abstract:

The triggered displaced aggression (TDA) paradigm provides an experimental vehicle for exploring the occurrence of excessive retaliation in response to a seemingly trivial triggering event. It was found that disjunctively escalated aggressive behavior occurred only among previously provoked participants when responding to the mild triggering event, but not the moderately strong or neutral trigger.

The influence of abstract and concrete mindsets on anticipating and guiding others' self-regulatory efforts

Article Abstract:

The impact of abstract and concrete mindsets is examined to investigate how people anticipate and attempt to shape others' self-regulatory efforts. Participants in an abstract, relative to a concrete mindset anticipated and suggested that others pursue realistic rather than overly positive self-relevant information.

Apology versus defence: antecedents and consequences

Article Abstract:

A study was conducted to examine the reproach and evaluation phases of predicament management. The result from the study reveals that reproach severity influenced perpetrator accounts in opposite ways for females and males.
