The neo-Nazi menace in Germany
Article Abstract:
Far-right-wing groups in Germany have expanded sharply since unification and become highly visible in public but their growth seems to have tapered off. The govt's response has been mixed, with high-level condemnation but little effort to actively support victims, and limited devotion of police resources to the problem. Selected groups have been banned, possibly with the result of driving activity underground, but those convicted of violence receive light punishment. Economic recovery would further hamper the groups.

Intel inside
Article Abstract:
The government of Germany created a special commission to give access to the personal files to the victims of the East Germany Stasi. Five percent of the Stasi's records were destroyed but computer scientists are digitizing the recovered scraps to digitally restore the documents. The files could prove East German links to terrorists and industrial espionage across Europe.
