Diving techniques are greatly influenced by Boyle's law which involves the relationship between pressure and gases. The diving malady known as squeeze or barotrauma is a result of this law of physics. Divers should be careful so as not to expose themselves to injuries of this nature.

Asthma and diving
Article Abstract:
Asthmatics have been discouraged from diving because of the risk for pulmonary barotrauma. A research study in the UK, however, shows that diving is not detrimental to asthmatics. Asthmatics who have normal lung function and free of illness can be allowed to dive.

Guarding your health
Article Abstract:
Scuba diving contributes to good physical conditioning, but it does not assure divers of a healthy life. Good health habits, occasional medical evaluations and regular exercise should be adopted by divers to lower their risk of diseases.
