There are two types of metal detectors than divers who want to become treasure hunters can use. These include the pulse induction and the very low frequency/transmitter receiver. The good sites in which to do a treasure hunt are those places frequented by swimmers, campers and boaters.

Diving the west for bottles: one man's trash if another's treasure
Article Abstract:
Some scuba divers search for bottles lying on the bottom of the ocean. Many of these bottles can be regarded as collector's items depending on their rarity, condition, popularity and age. Diving for rare bottles can be a very enjoyable and exciting experience for divers.

Undersea treasure hunting need not be confined to big salvage companies. Small-time divers can also get the exhilarating feeling of finding treasure. They only need to pick out a place and sweep it with a metal detector.
