Water conditions dictate the conduct for any diving activity. Reading the water, which is to analyze how present and future surface craft activities will affect entry and surface swimming, must become part of every dive plan because it determines whether a dive is going to be safe or not.

The triangle of safety
Article Abstract:
Equipment, knowledge and physical ability are the three basic elements of safety in diving. Each element must be strong enough to ensure successful diving. These three elements underscore the need for diver education, recognition of lack of physical qualification and adequate equipment.
