Sea stings

Article Abstract:

The Pacific Ocean contains some of the most dangerous jellyfish in the world such as the Portuguese man-of-war and the sea wasp. The best protection against these organisms is adequate skin diving clothing. The most effective treatment for stings is white vinegar, but cortisone also has some effect.

Lyme disease

Article Abstract:

Information regarding the diagnosis and treatment of lime disease is provided. Acquired from tick bites, it is usually recognized as a form of skin infection, but can disrupt the normal functioning of a body. Divers are warned about this matter.

Fish poisoning

Article Abstract:

The four most serious illnesses related to eating toxic fish are ciguatera, paralytic shellfish poisoning, scombroid poisoning and tetrodotoxin poisoning. Several symptoms of these fish toxicities are presented.
