Article Abstract:

The correlations of ratings of perceived exertion (RPE) with both dispositional and situational psychological variables across three exercise intensities were examined. Results provide partial support to the hypothesis that the relationship of depositional and situational psychological factors to RPE changes semantically, becoming weaker at higher exercise intensities.
