The outbreak of food poisoning at Jack in the Box restaurants was a result of a rare bacterium and cooking at temperatures too low to kill it. Recommended hamburger-cooking temperatures have been raised to 155 degrees, which should be sufficient to guard against even heavily-contaminated meat.

Article Abstract:
Aspirin is being heralded by some as a cure for a wide variety of ailments, but some of the claims are without foundation. Aspirin does appear to lower the chances of having a second heart attack, for example, but its effectiveness against digestive tract cancer is unproven.
