Carolina's island escape

This trail along the North Carolina Outer Banks National Seashore allows backpackers to view barrier islands, deserted beaches, pelicans, porpoises and sea turtles. Shells are abundant, and lighthouses can be seen. Tips on travel, season and park management are included.

Group therapy
Article Abstract:
Group backpacking is more enjoyable when all members have an opportunity to plan the trip, everyone has the proper equipment, the group is not too large and the pace is set by the slowest person. Avoiding hurt feelings and preventing injury are also discussed.
