A Chevrolet Caprice station wagon ($17,875-$21,527) towing a boat trailer and a Chevrolet K2500 pickup ($24,000) equipped with a Lance Squire 8000 camper ($10,900) were evaluated during a 2,300-mile trip on the Alaska Highway. Both vehicles performed very capably.

Juggling act

Several boat propellers were compared. The props were evaluated based on their pitch, blade area, price, and cruising speeds. The props were Mercury' Mirage Plus and Revolution 4, Solas' Titan and Aerostar's Power Pitch Pro Magnum.
